    Ladies and Gentlemen!

I am now the proud owner of a brand spanking new Nikon D80 18-135 with a 2 gig memory card and polarizing filter.

Its very different from my D40, far more comprehensive, so i guess a little time to learn how to get the best out of it will be needed.

    Watch this space!

----------> that me clapping for you! Congrats. I know how much you wanted to upgrade.

I've used the 18-135 from May up until last night and you've seen all the photo I've posted with it so you know it's a great lens.

Are you planning on selling your last camera? My 18-135 lens goes up for bid on ebay soon. I just want to make sure everything is okay w/ the new one before selling it.

    Jen,

I plan to keep the D40 and the three lenses I have used with it.

I am undertaking paid portrait work now as well as some event photography. Everywhere I read about semi pro/pro work it always states "HAVE A SPARE CAMERA" hence the reason for keeping it for now.

    Patrick

ps: how much do you expect to get for your lens?

I've reasearched on ebay and I've seen auctions end anywhere from $241.00 to 327.00 (the 327.00 came with a UV lens).

It sells new at B&H for $329.95

I'm probably going to throw in the UV filter in the auction so I hope to get at least what I paid --over the price of the D80 body--- to get it in the kit.
