Well Photography is fasciniating for sure.

Photography is all about "light" and what can you do.. .. with your imagination.. .. and that light !

Photography and the creation process is unlimited. but we can only take photographs of things we can see (for the most part)

But in 3D, not only do you have cameras and all lenses. but you can now create a photograph of something you can't see,, i.e. YOUR IMAGINATION.. and create photo-realistic renderings, animations and such!

CAN YOU GUESS ?? What I used to do for a living, ? befoer i retired ?

I have 3DSM, and God damn its hard/anoying to use... Congrats on having the patience to sit down and do this kind of work
Its better to cross the line & suffer the consequences than to just stare at that line for the rest of your life..

well it is a fantastic program and I know what you mean about "anoying" I was so frustrated trying to learn this program. not that I have learned it, but I can so simple things like make rectangles and such. that is all that desk scene is and modeling is easy once you understand how to do what you need to do, the simpler the method the easier it is to achieve.

I can talk you through almost anything you want to learn in 3dsmax. just contact me with a subject line of 3dsmax ! in an email or pm.

I have make a head tutorial where you take one cube and model it into a person ( character) and with the same cube make just a hand or the whole person or just the head

box modeling is quite easy once you get the hang of it.. I just couldn't get it .. until a friend wrote to me one sentence.. I asked how did you make that face ? out of one cube ? he said .. "I just moved vertices around for a couple of days.! then I understood what to do and how to do it.. I have made so many heads and faces that I can do it now in less than 20 minutes for a full body or spend hours on that one face.

just by subdividing and moving vertices polgons and edges and faces. but mostly vertices !

it took me ten long hard frustrating years fo become somewhat proficient at 3D studio max.. but it was / is all worth the effort you put into it.
