hub, because the nose end itself is cut off could this be a judges "auto throwout"? horse eyes and everything else from saddlehorn up is intact, older cowboy gathering up his rope at a calf roping...........will that fly or is it one of those deals where tough luck get it all next time even though you have about 2 seconds to get this stuff done in the arena??? thanks for your input,
ive weighed this for sometime now taking it in\out of materail package for submission...judge grew up around cowboy land not in manhattan should that be something in the overall equation

I doubt if the cut of nose is an automatic disqualifier, but it's probably not going to score well (sorry), unless something quite unusual was happening in the rest of the picture. As you know, judging is partially personal taste and that is probably were this picture will loose points.

I do understand how spur of the moment can cause less than ideal shots, but that's the nature of sports photography. On the other hand, a there's a lot of good sports photography taken everyday. Some of it due to great planning and tons of rapid sequential shots while a small part of the good images are shear luck. It's the nature of the beast.

i appreciate the input....it wasnt a make or break entry but something i had felt as you described, just wanted a solidified opinion from a qualified source......no sence in wasting their time for something thats riding on "borderline hope".........lol......ck
