Hi, I'm looking for any input on my portfolio too see if I'm totally horrible or just partially. I've been taking photos for a year 1/2, and don't have anyone to look at my work, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks! (hope this is the correct palce to post this)

While there are way too many images there to do a proper portfolio review, I did spend some time going through them, and in general, they are a strong group. Your monorchromes are very nice, and composition and subject matter is generally well done and interesting. One issue I did notice is a tendancy toward under-exposure; a number of your images, especially the 'people' shots were, IMO, significantly under-exposed.

After a quick view I would say your strongest images are the simplified architecture shots.

Don't worry, you are not totally horrible. Pictures are interesting, but you need to work on selecting and editing. You have more than 100 pics in you portfolio. My suggession is to cut them into 10. Some of the pics actually ruined your portfolio. I am totally agree withe under exposure issues. In addition, even though monochrome is beautiful, some photos are just not right in black and white, bright colors may work better. Good luck.

Thats because the post is a couple years old. The original poster joined, left 1 post and never returned.
