I think its too tightly cropped, its a nice subject, but I'd like to see more.

    Thanks for sharing

I agree with Michael. Chopping off hair/elbows is a no-no in my book.

Photo quality is good, good exposure, dont like the cropping and the pose is very cliché. Other than that I like it.

Increase the contrast slightly and sharpen her eyes.

The crop is a bit tight, but otherwise its a nice shot. I like the blurred grass in the foreground - a stronger shot may have been to ask her to lie down and then shoot through the grass and focus on her eyes?

I can't remember much about my first assignment, probably because the results were unmemorable.

    Hi Alyssars,

This is a very nice effort! I don't have too much of a problem with the crop - it puts the eyes in the right part of the frame. Although these 'cut the top of the head off' type crops work better when there is some kind of fringe. With your model there might be a bit too much forehead and not enough hair.

The eyes are lovely and they really engage the viewer. I would agree with the previous poster that a bit more contrast would help and perhaps a bit more vibrance.

I also wish I could see the end of the little finger.

    I like the cropping.
It looks like you turned down the saturation on everything but the eyes wich makes them look a bit unnatural.
The most brutal critique I can come up with is that the picture is nothing special. It's a plain portriat not more not less, but thats not bad for being one of the first of yours.
