Love these. Sometimes it's more difficult getting a picture of them sitting still than it is in flight. Love the feeding shot.

The feeding shots i took a week ago in San Francisco, when visiting friends. I saw the nest with the babes first and i went to get my camera. When i came back i saw the father(i think) was feeding them so i took few shots trough the window. This is the first time in my life i saw hummingbird nest with two babes.

    Nice shots.
The mother does the feeding and raising of the babies. The father does absolutely nothing, except fertilize the egg. He doesn't even help build the nest. I love these little critters. We finally had one show back up a couple of days ago. He's visiting the feeder regularly again. My summer will be partially spent taking pictures of them. Last year, out of hundreds of shots, i got two that I was happy with. I wish I could find a nest in the yard though.
