As many of you know, I just returned from a week in Florida. While not a photography focused vacation, I did get to sneak away a couple of times. Here are a handful:

Anhinga. I love the markings on these.

An Osprey, fiercely guarding his catch.

The Egrets are just starting to come into mating plumage.

The Crested Caracara, or Mexican Eagle. A first for me.

A Snail Kite, ready to strike. Also a first for me.

    Good times. Thanks for looking.

Awesome. I love birds of prey.

The talons on that osprey are unreal.

    Great shots

Thanks, everyone. I'll hold off on the pictures of Mickie!

George, yes... all these were taken with the 120-300 plus 1.4 TC. Got this case. So far, seems an incredible value. Held the camera, the 120-300, 70-200, 12-24, 35mm, 50mm, TC, Filters... more than I needed.

Great shots, Dane! They're all my favorites but especially the Osprey, Caracara and Kite. The Osprey looks really happy. Does the Egret have a green face stripe?

Thanks, Bill. The green face stripe on the egret is part of the mating plumage that is beginning to reveal.
